Why do people work with a life coach?
There are many reasons why you might choose to work with a coach. Here are few of the most common reasons:
 - You have something urgent, compelling or exciting at stake. 
 - You want to fill a gap in knowledge, skills, confidence, or resources.
 - You want to accelerate you results.
 - You want to identify and move past what is in the way of achieving your goals.
 - You need to make a choice and have a lack of clarity.
 - Your work life and personal life are out of balance, creating undesired consequences.
 - You want to identify your core strengths and how best to leverage them.
 - You desire more organizational and self-management skills.

How long do people typically work with a life coach?
The length of a coaching partnership varies depending on the individual’s needs and preferences. For certain types of focused coaching, 3 to 6 months of working with a coach may work. For comprehensive life coaching, people may find it beneficial to work with a coach for a year or longer. Factors that may impact the length of time include: the types of goals, the ways individuals like to work, the frequency of coaching meetings, and financial resources available to support coaching.

How often do people see a life coach?

This varies between coaches and styles. I like to see my clients every week for 45-60 minutes per week.

How much does life coaching cost? Does insurance cover life coaching?

This varies depending on the coach, style, experience and type of clientele. I typically charge between $750 and $1,000 per month for executive coaching and between $600 and $800 per month for life coaching and couples coaching. Currently, coaching is not covered by most insurance agencies.

What is the difference between life coaching and therapy?
Life coaching is a profession that supports personal and professional growth and development based on individual-initiated change in pursuit of specific actionable outcomes that are linked to personal or professional success.
Life coaching is forward moving and future focused.
Life coaching has a primary focus on creating actionable strategies for achieving specific goals in one’s work or personal life.
Life coaching relationships emphasize actions based on accountability and follow through.

Therapy deals with healing pain, dysfunction and conflict within an individual or a relationship between two or more individuals.
Therapy focuses on resolving difficulties arising from the past which hamper an individual’s emotional functioning in the present, improving overall psychological functioning, and dealing with present life and work circumstances in more emotionally healthy ways.
Therapy outcomes often include improved emotional and feeling states.
